The One Billion Trees progress chart shows the latest update as of 31 December 2023.
The number of trees planted since the One Billion Trees Programme was announced in 2018, to December 2023 is 626,937,000. An estimated 160,000,000 tree seedlings will be planted in 2024. The seedling number is a provisional estimate that will be updated once the results of both the exotic and native nursery survey are available.
The One Billion Trees fund has directly funded 41,379,000 trees for planting between 2018 and 2028. 81% are native species and 19% are exotic species.
