Forests Act 1949

This Act applies only to existing or regenerating indigenous (native) forest.

National Environmental Standards for Plantation Forestry (NES-PF)

The NES-PF applies to any forest of at least one hectare that has been planted specifically for commercial purposes and will be harvested.

Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) for forestry

There are 2 classes of forests in the ETS, each with its own obligations.
